President Trump began his second term in January of this year, and thus far it has been marked by swift and aggressive changes to the federal government at large and particular actions and orders aimed at and impacting the federal grantee and contractor community. As a result, there have been a significant number of lawsuits filed against the administration and various agencies. These lawsuits have resulted in a patchwork of temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, and even some permanent injunctions, with varying impacts across jurisdictions and among the parties to the suit, as well as non-parties. Many of these lawsuits have been making their way up to appellate courts and some even to the Supreme Court. This session will examine several of the lawsuits that have been and/or are most impactful on government grantees and contractors, in an attempt to clear the fog and provide clarity amid the chaos.
