Liz Lowe, a partner in the International Trade Practice, and John Mavretich, counsel in the Environmental Practice, will both deliver timely talks addressing critical regulatory developments at the upcoming HazMat by Road & Rail 2025 conference in Houston on November 5-6, 2025.
Liz will present “Current State of Tariffs and Trade Enforcement in the U.S.,” analyzing the impact of current U.S. tariffs on global trade operations, examining emerging enforcement trends, and providing strategies for mitigating liability and strengthening trade compliance programs.
John will lead a session titled “How Will Washington Impact Your Hazmat Transport Operations?,” exploring recent Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) proposals that could significantly affect hazardous materials transportation and the practical steps stakeholders can take to influence the rulemaking process, including filing comments and petitions.
