Venable and Bird & Bird are preparing a lively discussion on how the U.S. election results could reshape the future of transatlantic trade.

Providing the U.S. perspective, Venable’s experts will discuss what the election changes, and what is likely to remain consistent, across U.S. trade policy, tariffs and enforcement, U.S.-EU and U.S.-UK trade relations, and industrial policy in strategic sectors. They will also consider the respective roles of the U.S. Congress, the president, and the courts.

Bird & Bird will examine how the UK and EU may respond to shifts in U.S. policy, and the implications for trade, investment, regulation, and industrial policy in Europe.

Drawing on perspectives from both sides of the Atlantic, the two firms will consider the practical implications for businesses operating across these markets, including market access, tariff and customs exposure, and evolving trade risks.

The session will be followed by networking drinks, giving attendees the opportunity to exchange views not only with our Bird & Bird and Venable speakers, but also with fellow guests and peers from across the industry.

Venable will be represented by partners Ashley Craig, Elizabeth Lowe, and Derek Theurer. Bird & Bird partners present at the event will be Brian Mulier, Andrew Dean, and Nicolo Cusimano, alongside other colleagues.
