Joe Schmelter is the Partner-in-Charge of Venable's Tysons office and co-chairs the firm's Government Contractor Services Industry Group.

Joe focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate debt finance and general corporate representation, primarily in the industries of aerospace, defense, government services, IT and financial institutions.  Diligence, thoroughness, and congeniality inform his work on complex matters with clients and their counterparties.
