Aaron Aber

Aaron Aber works with clients across industries to solve complex environmental and permitting problems involving a variety of federal and state agencies and departments. Aaron regularly advises clients in the utility, transportation, energy, and timber sectors on compliance with federal and state water and air quality regulations. He also guides clients in those industries through federal and state environmental review, including under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), and Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act.

Aaron has experience challenging and defending against permitting decisions and agency action in administrative proceedings and federal court. His experience also includes helping clients conduct due diligence in transactions, shepherding properties through state brownfield and voluntary cleanup programs, and navigating federal and state legal requirements surrounding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Aaron maintains an active pro bono practice working to connect practitioners with environmental justice communities in need of legal advice and representation. He is also an active member of the American Bar Association Section on Energy and Environmental Resources.
