Shantel Asada has experience in state court, federal court, and arbitration, handling a variety of matters, including employment disputes, commercial disputes, and shareholder disputes. Shantel focuses her practice on defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues. She also provides clients with advice on employment issues, such as employment and severance agreements, reductions in force, and ensuring company policies comply with applicable laws.
During law school, Shantel served as a judicial extern for the Honorable George H. Wu of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She was also a member of the Poverty and Housing Law Clinic at the University of Chicago, where she represented indigent clients in eviction and housing subsidy termination cases.
