While in law school, Adel sharpened his research and writing skills as a board member of the UCLA Law Review. As a summer associate at Venable, Adel conducted extensive research, drafted memoranda related to various litigation suits, and examined and edited contracts for commercial business purchases. Prior to law school, he completed an internship with the Orange County Public Defender's office, where he reviewed discovery, discussed defense strategy with the supervising attorney, and screened and hired professionals needed to provide trial testimony.
