During law school, Paul served as a summer law clerk in the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. There, he investigated and recommended agency action regarding an international multilevel marketing operation, researched truth-in-advertising issues among web accessibility overlay vendors, and developed a list of fraudulent and deceptive practices in popular monitoring and tracking apps.
Prior to law school, Paul worked as a Korean language specialist, providing interpretation services for South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety officials and translation services for a global artificial intelligence company. He was also a courtroom interpreter for the Maryland Judiciary.
