Taylor Sorrells

Taylor Sorrells helps Venable's government contracts attorneys address clients' most pressing legal concerns. Taylor's team relies on her to research and draft memoranda on a wide range of legal issues in government contracting, including bid protests at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and False Claims Act (FCA) disputes. She has also assisted in advising clients on grant issues in the nonprofit sphere.

Prior to beginning her work at Venable, Taylor honed her legal research and writing skills through two judicial internships for judges with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the Honorable Henry E. Hudson and the Honorable M. Hannah Lauck. She also strengthened her skills as an advocate through her role on the Moot Court Board at the University of Richmond School of Law. Prior to law school, Taylor worked as a legal assistant at a boutique intellectual property (IP) law firm in Northern Virginia, where she helped large multinational corporations obtain IP rights in the U.S. and abroad.
