Avi Zemel

Avi Zemel practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, and complex commercial litigation. Avi served as a law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He is the vice president of the Emory Miami Legal Network and an active member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida.

While in law school, he was a managing editor for Emory University’s Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. Avi was also a research assistant to Professors Fred Smith and Jonathan Nash, where he researched and drafted memoranda on legal ethics, conflict of laws, and laws relating to interring and abandoning human corpses.
