Venable represented Academy Award-winning actor and entrepreneur Reese Witherspoon in a joint venture with Otter Media, itself a joint venture of AT&T and The Chernin Group, an independent media holding company that operates and invests in businesses in the media, entertainment, and technology sectors in the U.S. and Asia.
The newly-formed company, called Hello Sunshine, will focus on creating and delivering female-driven content starting in 2017 at Hello-Sunshine.com, as well as across other platforms, including TV shows and movies.
The Venable transaction team was led by Ronn Davids and included Alan Epstein, Lindsay Monti, Jennifer Cappelletty, Justin Pierce, Pauline Jaturongpanich, Marjorie Norman, and Sharitie Williams. The deal has been widely covered by publications including Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and Forbes.
