Venable partners Stuart Ingis and William Nordwind, along with other leading attorneys and lobbyists, will offer an exclusive post-election analysis for members of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) on Thursday, November 9, 2006. Potentially “hot” topics for the 2007 legislative session are expected to include privacy, data security, spyware, postage rates, and online sales tax.

Ingis, a partner in Venable’s Privacy and Data Protection, Government and Legislative Affairs, Communications, and Advertising and New Media practice groups, counsels DMA on privacy, Internet, and legislative issues. Nordwind, who recently joined Venable as a partner in its Legislative and Government Affairs practice group after spending more than 15 years on Capitol Hill, will discuss telecommunications policy.
