American Shipper and Shippers' NewsWire recently reported Ashley W. Craig's recent election to partnership at Venable. Craig, a member of Venable’s Legislative and Government Affairs practice, regularly counsels U.S. and overseas clients on transactional matters, cross-border regulatory and policy concerns, concentrating on homeland and transportation security matters.
Craig also appears before federal agencies, Congress, as well as foreign governments and international organizations, such as the European Commission, U.K. parliament and ministries, numerous ministries and offices in the Chinese government, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, and the World Customs Organization.
Some of Mr. Craig's homeland and transportation security legislative experience includes the SAFE Port Act of 2006, the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 and the Trade Act of 2002.
