Labor and Employment partner Ron Taylor was interviewed by WBAL TV reporter Lisa Robinson on Monday March 9, 2009, regarding legal issues in connection with layoffs.
"The law in Maryland is that non-compete agreements are enforceable as long as they are reasonably designed to protect the legitimate interest of the employer," he said. "If you go to a major competitor, they are more likely going to get upset, but if you go to a small start-up or something, they don't view you as a competitive entity."
