Michael Volpe, Doreen Martin, Heather Maly and Sumit Som received recognition at the 2009 Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year Award ceremonies from the Legal Aid Society on October 26, 2009. Venable attorneys Mike Madden, Brendan LeMoult, Stephanie Anelli, Rishi Kapoor and Megan Mann also supported Venable's pro bono efforts with the Legal Aid Society.
