Venable Partner Stu Ingis was quoted in a November 2 Advertising Age article on five ways the new Congress could impact the advertising industry.
On power shifts in Congressional leadership, Ingis said, "chanes are a GOP-led Energy and Commerce committee will be less regulatory than the current chairman, but we don't know who the next chairman will be."
With regard to potential "gridlock" between Democrats and Republicans resulting in fewer regulations being enacted, he noted that "bread-and-butter issues such as reducing the deficit may gain traction on both sides of the aisle."
