Venable Partner Jim Burnley was quoted in a December 16 Consumer Traveler article discussing several initiatives on the legislative agenda focusing on TSA reform.
On the future of the TSA in the wake of controversy over pat-downs and ramped up screening practices, Burnley said, "There is no chance Congress will eliminate TSA." Adding, "But I do expect the next Congress to engage in much more active oversight of TSA."
Burnley also said he believes the only law with a shot at getting passed is the current Senate bill limiting the distribution of scanned images.
