This week, Venable announced the addition of five new attorneys to its patent prosecution and litigation groups in the Washington, DC office. Partners Mark Shanks, Toni Herbert, and Michele Frank, of counsel Therese Finan and associate Fabian M. Koenigbauer joined Venable to focus on litigation as well as patent counsel/prosecution. The group also handles M&A, commercialization and licensing of IP assets.
News of the group’s move was highlighted in the January 24, 2012 issues of The Hill and The Am Law Daily’s “The Churn.” The Am Law Daily noted that Shanks “said he was drawn to Venable by its combination of a strong general practice with a healthy patent prosecutions workload.”
