A Law360 article on July 9, 2012 reported a victory for Venable partner Tom Madden and associate James Boland in a government contract dispute. The Government Accountability Office (GAO) upheld a U.S. Air Force award of an approximately $8 million contract to Venable’s client Sodexo Ltd. against the challenge of a competing custodial services firm, Resource Ltd.
In denying the protest by Resource, the GAO said the Air Force conducted a reasonable price realism analysis, adding, "The Air Force considered the basis for Sodexo's pricing and found that it not only demonstrated Sodexo's understanding of the requirements, but did not present a performance risk."
