In a January 15, 2013 article, the Daily Journal highlighted Venable’s role in the renaming of Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Partners Mitch Evall and Brett Garner negotiated the sale of naming rights to TCL Corporation. Evall and Garner represented the theater’s owners in the 10-year naming deal. Evall also represented the former owners Warner Bros. and Viacom Inc. in the 2011 sale of the theater to its current owners.

Opened in 1927 by showman Sid Grauman, the theater is a designated historic landmark in Hollywood and frequently used for red-carpet premieres.
