Through the position, Mr. Currie will provide legal advice and counsel to chapter leadership and help oversee chapter business and guide the development, implementation, review and evaluation of chapter plans, events and programs. He will also assure the chapter adheres to nonprofit policies and business practices while protecting the organization and its mission by working with chapter volunteers and staff to draft contracts, resolve local legal issues, and provide legal advice. Mr. Currie will help with the organization’s fundraising and volunteer efforts by identifying candidates to serve as event sponsors, leading a March for Babies team and recruiting high-impact volunteer leadership for future events.
“We are very excited to have Andrew as part of the March of Dimes team,” said Tina Cavucci, chapter director of the March of Dimes Maryland–National Capital Area Chapter. “Andrew is an outstanding attorney and community leader. His skills, experience and commitment to the March of Dimes mission will go a long way to achieving our goals and continuing efforts to promote the expansion of healthcare coverage and support for research and public policy studies.”

I’m looking forward to helping them achieve their mission and continuing their record of success.”
A partner in Venable’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group, Mr. Currie focuses his practice on debt restructuring, reorganization, insolvency, general bankruptcy matters and transactional work.
