Venable partner Todd Harrison was quoted in a July 23, 2013 Food Chemical News article on the possibility of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) moving forward with a labeling regulation for drinks containing caffeine. Harrison was a speaker at a July 17 meeting on “Food & Beverage Marketing and Advertising.”
Speaking at the event, Harrison said the “demonization” of energy drink reminds him “of the public relations campaign that caused the agency to ban the dietary supplement ephedra from the marketplace in 2004.”
