Venable has huge win on attorney fee motion for Agence France Press in cutting edge internet case

Venable team Joshua J. Kaufman, Meghan H. Kent, Matthew R. Farley, Elissa Reese and Sarah Ross represented Agence France Presse, one of the largest wire services in the world, in a landmark internet case in an almost two week jury trial last year. The court recently issued its ruling on the opposition's request for attorney fees. The court granted them zero dollars ($0.00) of the $3.4 million sought. Additionally, the court stated that Venable’s arguments raised novel issues that "help further define the contours of copyright law in the digital age."
