Last week, Venable announced the addition of Alex Koff to the firm's Washington, DC and Baltimore offices as a partner in the Corporate and International Trade Groups. Koff advises on a broad range of international transactional, regulatory and litigation issues for clients, including multinational companies, government entities and trade associations. He has been especially active with international trade agreements and policy, international arbitration, and corporate transactions from formation to sale, and in the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including Section 337 cases.
"Ultimately, if I can add to a company's bottom line and show them where they're going to benefit...I'm doing my job and that's really satisfying to me." Koff told Law360 in a March 4, 2016 article. Discussing his move to Venable, Koff pointed to the depth of experience across the firm as a major asset to his clients and singled out the firm's "hardcore" IP litigators, patent prosecutors, trademark prosecutors and transaction attorneys.
