Capitol Hill Veteran Daris Meeks Rejoins Venable's Legislative and Government Affairs Practice

WASHINGTON, DC (February 12, 2018) – Venable LLP is pleased to announce that Daris Meeks has rejoined the firm's Legislative and Government Affairs Practice in Washington, DC. Mr. Meeks recently served in the White House as Director of Domestic Policy for Vice President Mike Pence.

Mr. Meeks, who is known for his integrity as well as his thorough understanding of domestic policy and the lawmaking process, initially joined Venable in 2014. A veteran of Capitol Hill, he previously served as the principal policy advisor and counsel to Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) during his tenures as chairman of the House Republican Conference and vice chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, and during the congressman's time as a member of the Congressional Oversight Panel. He also served as policy director and counsel to then Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) during his tenure as chairman of the House Republican Conference, prior to his election as governor of Indiana.
