On September 17, 2018, William "Bill" King, a member of Venable's Commercial Litigation Group in the Baltimore office, joined the Community Law Center Board of Directors. Mr. King joins the board of directors after volunteering with the Community Law Center on a range of issues since 2014, including a pro bono case that generated national attention. He was also part of a group of friends that started a new neighborhood organization from information provided by Community Law Center's "How to Start a Nonprofit Organization in Maryland" workshop.
The Community Law Center was founded in 1986 by a group of lawyers and community organizers who saw the need for residents in Baltimore City to band together and advocate effectively for their neighborhoods.
