Washington, DC (December 3, 2018) – Venable LLP is pleased to announce that Jared M. Stout has joined the firm as a policy advisor in the Legislative and Government Affairs Practice in the Washington, DC office. Mr. Stout advises clients on a wide array of interdisciplinary aerospace issues, including the civil, commercial, and national security space sectors.
Mr. Stout brings a career's worth of experience through his various roles in the public sector, including his work on multiple legislative initiatives involving the NASA Authorization Acts and the U.S. Commercial Space Launch Competitiveness Act. During his tenure in the Office of Commercial Space Transportation of the Federal Aviation Administration, he built new strategies for engagement with the public and Congress to achieve significant advancements in commercial space policy and provided policy guidance and direction for legislative, communications, management, and industry priorities. Mr. Stout served as the deputy executive secretary and chief of staff in the National Space Council of the White House, where he organized, managed, developed, and implemented national space policy initiatives and provided policy analysis to senior leaders of the administration.

Mr. Stout received his M.A. from the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center, Israel, in 2010 and his B.S. from the University of Central Florida in 2007.
