The Public Justice Center uses legal advocacy tools to pursue social justice, economic and race equity, and fundamental human rights for people who are struggling to provide for their basic needs. The PJC pursues systemic impact to build a more just society by advocating for Maryland's low-income people in the courts, legislatures, government agencies, public education, and coalition building. The organization devotes advocacy and legal resources to the human right to housing, prisoners' rights, workplace justice, education stability, health and benefits, appellate advocacy, the civil right to counsel, and immigrants' rights.
