Grace Lee, partner in the Independent School Practice, has been retained as legal counsel for the National Business Officers Association (NBOA). Ms. Lee is the former vice president of legal affairs at the NBOA, where she oversaw the legal affairs and human resources programming for independent school business officers and served as a resource for member schools on current and evolving legal challenges affecting the independent school community.
In her role as legal counsel, Ms. Lee will once again serve as general legal support to NBOA staff; speak at NBOA signature events, including the NBOA Annual Meeting and Business Officer Institute; and serve as faculty for NBOA HR online courses.
Founded in 1998, NBOA is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to advancing best practices and standards of excellence across all business operations within independent schools, including finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, risk management, tax compliance, and facilities. NBOA membership includes more than 1,400 schools in every region in the United States and schools in Canada, Mexico, and 19 other countries.
