Venable LLP Represents JBG Smith Properties in Its Plans to Redevelop Buildings in National Landing in Arlington County

On September 24, 2019, JBG Smith Properties (NYSE: JBGS) filed plans with Arlington County to redevelop a half-dozen buildings in National Landing. The Chevy Chase-based developer wants to remake about 2.6 million square feet across five multifamily buildings and one office. JBG Smith is Amazon's landlord and development partner for its new headquarters, but the plans it filed are apart from the space it has set aside for Amazon.

Bryan Moll, an executive vice president at JBG Smith, said the newly submitted plans were designed to reinforce the goals of the county's sector plan for National Landing and to help "foster a vibrant, architecturally distinct 18-hour environment throughout National Landing."

"We look forward to working with the County to review and refine our proposals, which will significantly enhance the public's experience at the street level and add a host of new housing and amenities for the community," Moll said.

Kedrick Whitmore, Matthew Allman, and Maura Ikharo represented JBG Smith.
