On August 17, 2021, Andrew Price and Justin Pierce were quoted in World Trademark Review (WTR) on their experience during the 2014 WTR Industry Awards. Now in its 15th year, this awards program recognizes the vitally important work carried out by in-house trademark counsel and identifies those teams and individuals who are performing to the highest possible standards.
Price and Pierce recall: “The 2014 awards at the Jockey Club in Hong Kong made for some great memories and demonstrate what is so special about the Industry Awards. First, the setting was spectacular, looking out on the racetrack in the foreground and the city in the background. These events always bring us to new and interesting venues. Next, we had met a prospective client at an earlier meeting with a foreign associate, but then were able to cement our relationship at the Jockey Club, where we ran into the prospect and later shared a cab ride home through a monsoon-like rainstorm. He became a client and friend. Overall, the awards always deliver when it comes to bringing new and old friends together and generating anticipation and excitement. Announcing and handing out an award each year, as we have done for many years, has always been an honor and created great memories.”
