Lee Brenner, chair of Venable's Entertainment and Media Litigation Group, is a trial attorney and high-stakes business litigator. With numerous published decisions in his career, Lee has deep experience in the media and entertainment industry, particularly in the areas of defamation, copyright law, idea theft, credit disputes, privacy, intellectual property, and right of publicity. He has developed significant experience regarding defamation by anonymous posters on the Internet. Lee also has an extensive background in handling matters related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

Jennifer Cappelletty has a vibrant national practice working with middle-market and emerging growth companies in distressed and non-distressed situations, with a particular emphasis on private equity firms. She also represents borrowers and secured lenders in financing transactions and enforcement of remedies against collateral. Her practice also includes stock and asset acquisition transactions and general corporate matters. In addition to her work with financial services clients, Jennifer provides general corporate representation, including preparing incorporation and founder equity documentation, establishing equity incentive programs, and negotiating relationships between companies and their employees, suppliers, and customers.

Belinda Martinez Vega, co-chair of Venable's West Coast Litigation Group, focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including matters involving unfair business practices, securities litigation, contract disputes, and fraud. Belinda also represents clients in wrongful death and collision cases. She has significant experience in all aspects of litigation, from discovery to depositions, trial, and appellate work. Belinda offers practical solutions while minimizing litigation risk, and defends employers against false accusations, discrimination, breach of contract, and various other claims while in compliance with both complex California state and federal employment laws. In addition, she has been actively involved in counseling clients on corporate compliance and conducts internal investigations in response to government inquiries and allegations of misconduct.
