Venable partner Sarah Brooks has been named among the 2023 Top IP Lawyers in California by the Daily Journal. Sarah is recognized for leading the Venable team that co-counseled with the ACLU and Civil Rights Corp. and achieved a historic settlement (in Oct. 2021) in a litigation pending in the Eastern District of Louisiana against District Attorney Leon Cannizzarro, individual assistant district attorneys, and the Orleans Parrish District Attorney Office for their practice of issuing fake subpoenas to witnesses and victims of crimes in order to induce them to come speak to ADAs.
