Venable LLP is pleased to announce that Shalini Vallabhan, Ph.D., has joined the firm’s DC office as a senior policy advisor in the Legislative and Government Affairs Practice Group and its Health Policy team. A results-driven leader, Shalini focuses her work on the intersection of government relations, health policy, and advocacy.
She gained her deep knowledge of these pivotal landscapes through her diverse experience working on Capitol Hill and in the U.S. and global healthcare and public health spheres. Shalini is passionate about improving health outcomes and remains dedicated to accelerating innovation, increasing prevention, and improving access to quality care around the world, drawing on her network of healthcare, life sciences, and community leaders to solve complex problems. She is widely recognized for her savvy as a program manager and known for her execution of government relations and advocacy campaigns.

Shalini received her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and her B.A. from Texas Tech University.
