Venable LLP is proud to share that the band Almost Noise (in the Basement)—featuring Andrew Price and Glenn Moses on lead guitars, Frank Cimino on drums, and Shahin Rothermel on vocals—was honored with the Hustle & Heart Award at the 10th annual Law Rocks Washington DC at The Atlantis.

The Hustle & Heart Award recognizes a band that embodies exceptional commitment, energy, passion, and community engagement, not only in their performance, but in their efforts leading up to and during the event itself, including the highest number of unique donors. As this year’s recipient, Almost Noise stood out among eight bands of legal-industry rockers for demonstrating those qualities to an outstanding degree. The honor was accompanied by an additional $1,000 donation from Law Rocks to the band’s selected charity, Friends of ROAM, on top of the significant amount raised by the band. Over the last ten years, Noise in the Basement/Almost Noise have been named Overall Champion four times and Judges' Choice twice, while raising more than $175,000 for charity. This is their first Hustle & Heart Award win.

This year’s sold-out event raised nearly $150,000. Support for Friends of ROAM, continuing the firm’s tradition of supporting important causes within the DC community. Friends of ROAM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Alexandria, Virginia, dedicated to making high-quality music education accessible to young musicians who might otherwise face financial barriers.
