Chris Abbott has joined the firm as a partner in its Washington, DC office, enhancing the firm's capabilities in complex antitrust matters, including class action litigation, government investigations, high-stakes transactions, and strategic counseling.
A former attorney in the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition, Mr. Abbott brings deep experience handling complex antitrust matters involving mergers and acquisitions, government investigations, and class action litigation. Drawing on both government and private practice experience, he advises clients on all phases of the deal-making process, including antitrust risk assessments, regulatory strategy, and advocacy before the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice. He also counsels companies on competition compliance and represents clients in significant antitrust disputes and parallel civil and criminal investigations. His practice spans a range of industries, including healthcare, life sciences, technology, agriculture, food and beverage, gaming, and private equity.
