Jessie Beeber, chair of Venable’s New York Commercial Litigation Practice Group, has been named a finalist by the New York Law Journal in the Best Mentor category. This accolade is part of the journal’s annual professional excellence awards honoring those "who take it upon themselves to prepare the next generation of legal talent."
Since joining Venable 12 years ago, Jessie has made an enormous contribution to the commercial litigation team in New York. Her guiding principle as chair is the development and training of Venable’s up-and-coming attorneys. Jessie chairs the firm’s Partnership Selection Committee, co-chairs the Allyship Initiative, and served on the New York office’s Summer Associate Committee for many years. In addition to her mentorship, Jessie is one of the most accomplished litigators in the state, representing clients in intellectual property, media, art, real estate, infrastructure and transportation, and insurance matters.
