Andrew S. Hirsch


Andrew Hirsch works in Venable's Tysons office as a real estate and corporate associate. He is passionate about serving his clients with the highest levels of competence, efficiency, and attentiveness to help them minimize risk and maximize value. Andrew regularly represents real estate investors, developers and other firms on a broad range of matters, from acquisition, disposition, and financing of various types of commercial property to real estate development and the creation of structures for real estate acquisitions, investments, financing, and joint ventures.
Andrew also represents various types of companies in mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters. 

He graduated, with honors, from Emory University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Emory Law Journal and had an article published in that periodical. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chinese and Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. 

Before law school, Andrew lived in China and Taiwan for about four years. He studied Chinese at Tsinghua University in Beijing and National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei. He also worked as a paralegal at the Beijing office of a major U.S. law firm, where he assisted with various cross-border transactions. Andrew is conversational in Mandarin Chinese.

Andrew enjoys using his skills and knowledge to provide pro bono legal services to various religious, educational and other civic organizations. Notably, he reviewed various contracts in connection with Venable's commendable representation of the Fairfax 2015 World Police & Fire Games.
