Peter Belk led a delegation of government and private sector professionals on a two-week fact finding mission to Belgium and Turkey to assess the status of Turkish efforts to join the European Union and internal Turkish politics. The group was assembled under the auspices of the Council on Foreign Relations and consisted of meetings and briefings with European Union officials, members of the Turkish business and finance community and Government of Turkey officials.
