Robert Wilkins has been invited to participate in "Voices," a program of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action Review Conference in Geneva, Switzerland from April 20-24, 2009. The "Voices" program will allow individuals coming from all regions of the world to raise their voices and to share their personal experiences of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. Mr. Wilkins was invited to participate in the program by the United Nations' Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
In 2001, the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Interolence was held in Durban, South Africa. This conference led to the adoption of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action.
