The recent mid-term elections may have meant a resurgence of Republicans in Congress, but it appears that neither Republicans nor Democrats are going to take their eye off of Internet privacy. Within days of the election, elected officials from both sides said it would continue to be an issue that may require federal regulation, and, in early December, the Federal Trade Commission proposed a “Do Not Track” program, which would allow consumers to opt out of being tracked. So, where does that leave marketers, and how will attempts at government privacy policy map out?

On this panel, speakers will give their opinions on where this is headed – and what it means for social media and the use of social data.
