This session reviews the legal issues confronted by school management when employees depart, both voluntarily and involuntarily. We will provide best practice tips for planning for the departure, responding to claims raised by the departure and protecting the school from liability. The participants can expect to take away concrete strategies for establishing policies and procedures to limit liability and promote a smooth departure and transition. These issues include employee claims of discrimination, violations of the NLRB, breach of contract and general opposition.
