Schools are like tiny towns – full of people of all ages and roles, working together in the school community. And, let's face it: dealing with people gets messy. And, we don’t just mean "lower school snack time" messy. We mean that our tiny school-town is filled with issues of biases, power imbalances, human emotions and error, and differing perspectives—all of which make schools ripe for issues related to boundaries and harassment. Grapple with these two areas, boundaries and harassment, as well as boundary-adjacent issues, such as consent and bullying. Megan Mann and Janice Gregerson of Venable LLP will discuss and explore these topics, as well as provide proactive strategies for schools to consider in order to maximize the safety of their community.
