In the past few years, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has renewed its focus on the protection of small businesses. In doing so, it has expanded the typical understanding of what it is to be a consumer under Section 5 of the FTC Act, which prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices. But what really constitutes a "small business"? The answer to that may have far-reaching consequences. This webinar will examine the FTC's authority to address deceptive and unfair practices aimed at small businesses and will review recent actions the FTC has pursued to safeguard small businesses against business-to-business deception and fraud.
