Julia K. Tama, a partner in Venable's eCommerce, Privacy, and Security Group, will be speaking at the closed-door Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s (FFIEC) IT Conference. Julia will provide an overview of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as enforcement begins, address the interaction of the CCPA with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and other California privacy laws, and discuss special considerations for financial institutions in approaching CCPA compliance. FFIEC agency member participants will take away an understanding of how the CCPA is impacting financial institutions and their operations today.
