Venable partner Fred Wagner will present at the 2022 Legal Affairs Seminar hosted by the American Public Transportation Association in Boston, Massachusetts.
On April 3, Fred will present the “Legislative Update” a review of current and potential legislative activity affecting the public transportation industry by providing an overview of infrastructure funding and authorization legislation as well as discuss APTA’s advocacy strategy to advance public transportation in 2022 and beyond.
On April 4, Fred will join the panel on “Perspectives on Current Developments in Transit and Equity/Environmental Justice Initiatives.” In light of the Biden administration’s focus on equity and environmental justice initiatives, this discussion will review current developments and help prepare public transportation lawyers to address evolving equity and civil rights initiatives in implementing the full range of federal transit programs.
On April 5, Fred will also present “Ethics Beanpot,” the seminar’s Ethics Session that will discuss the ethical limitations of advocacy under the model rules of professional conduct and the legal ethics of working virtually.
