Venable partner Ron Jacobs will present “Governance Restructure: Strategies for Success” at the ACCESSE22 Conference, to be hosted by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE) on July 20, 2022 in Richmond, Virginia.
In this fireside chat discussion, attendees will hear from different perspectives on how associations have successfully remodeled their governance structure. The panelists will provide specific strategies for stakeholder buy-in; bylaws re-writes; and how and why to move to a competency-based, diverse board to effectively progress governance changes. This session will also cover the process to undertake a governance remodel as well as how the staff, outside consultants, and attorneys can partner together for the association’s success.
