Venable partner Kyle Scherer moderated a panel discussion, "To Form a More Perfect Union: Native American Heritage and Inclusion," at the White House Fellows Foundation and Association’s 57th Annual Leadership Conference on October 22, 2022 in Washington, DC.

The conversation explored the relationship between the United States and American Indians and Alaska Natives, with a focus on tribal sovereignty, treaty obligations, and the federal trust responsibility. Panelists included Kevin Gover, under secretary for museums and culture at the Smithsonian Institution; Keith M. Harper, former United States ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Council; and Jonadev Chaudhuri, former chair of the National Indian Gaming Commission.
