Venable partner Kyle Scherer presented on a panel on “Considerations Related to Off-Reservation Tribal Gaming Enterprises,” hosted by the Indian Nations Gaming and Governance Program at UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law on December 5, 2022.
This panel discussion provided views from government and private practice attorneys on the process whereby the U.S. Department of the Interior makes determinations on petitions by federally recognized tribes to transfer off-reservation real property from fee to trust status when the proposed use of such property is for gaming purposes.
