Venable attorney Emma Blaser co-led the breakout session “Data Governance and Privacy: From Data Requests to RTBF Requests” at the TechGC Virtual Privacy Forum on June 28.
This small group discussion allowed attendees to share best practices for addressing common privacy challenges, such as how to field all forms of data requests from diverse stakeholders. If you operate internationally, how are you complying with right to be forgotten requests, especially in an age when operational systems may rely upon user data to function properly? How does your company assess the data that you have and how you attained it? How do you interact with requests for information from law enforcement and/or regulators? These questions and more were proposed in a lively discussion between peers.
